The caregiver agreement allows the hiring of an individual to take care of someone else for an extended period of time. It is not unusual for the caregiver to reside with the patient they are taking care of (known as a ‘live-in’ caregiver). Caregivers are commonly family members or close friends with the patient and do not require the individual to be a licensed nurse. A caregiver’s duties are to care for the general well-being of the patient, not to provide medical care
