A nanny contract is an employment agreement between the parent of a child and an individual who is being hired to take care of said child for an extended period. Generally, a nanny is an individual who is committed to taking care of children, which often includes cooking for them and providing transportation. However, a nanny may be given additional household responsibilities such as cleaning and shopping. The document lays out the basic terms of the agreement including the employment start date, employee responsibilities, rate of pay, paid leave, and holidays, as well as any work expenses that are covered by the employer. Furthermore, by signing the contract, the nanny agrees not to post or share any photos or descriptions that may disclose the family’s location and activities. Once the contract has been signed, it becomes legally binding until either party terminates the relationship.
