The New Jersey subcontractor agreement outlines the terms by which a subcontractor agrees to work under the primary contractor. The subcontractor is to work under the primary contractor and provide their work or services as stated. The agreement reassures both subcontractor and primary contractor keeps their end of the deal. It is the primary contractor’s sole duty is to reassure the expenses, liabilities, and compensation for the subcontractor.

State Definition (§ 2a-44a-2) – “Subcontractor” is any person providing work or services in connection with the improvement of real property pursuant to a contract with a contractor or pursuant to a contract with a subcontractor in direct privity of contract with a contractor.
