The Florida subcontractor agreement is a binding agreement between a contractor and subcontractor. The agreement details the kind of services or products needed in order to complete the job at hand. Hired as a 1099-employee basis the contract is solely between the contractor and subcontractor. Thus, once finished the contractor will render payment for the subcontractor’s services.

State Definition (§ 713.01(28))- “Subcontractor” means a person other than a materialman or laborer who enters into a contract with a contractor for the performance of any part of such contractor’s contract, including the removal of solid waste from the real property.
