The Rhode Island employment contract concretely establishes employment. Presented by the employer to the employee, the agreement will not only state the position but also the duties and expected outcome. Based on the longevity of the position, the employee may also qualify for benefits such as healthcare, 401k, company stake, etc. In order to secure its trade secrets and maintain confidentiality, the employer has the right to issue NDA’s and or non-competes. Once both parties agree to each other’s terms, the contract will be signed, bound and employment shall begin.
