The Mississippi non-compete and non-solicitation agreement is a contract that limits the signing employee from competing with their employer’s business. The contract must specify how many years and within what geographical area the employee will be prohibited from competing with the company after their employment has ended. The employer can also prohibit the employee from soliciting clients and other employees for their own personal gain. Non-compete agreements are permitted to protect employers’ business information, trade secrets, and client relationships from the competition.
