A consultant non-disclosure agreement is used when a consultant has been hired to work with a business and will be exposed to the company’s confidential information. The owner of the information will want to prevent it from reaching the hands of his/her competitors and will often draft this type of agreement to legally protect themselves against wrongful dissemination. Once the agreement has been signed, the consultant will be liable for damages should the confidential information reach the hands of the owner’s competitors.

Consultant Non-Compete – Prohibits a consultant from doing similar work for a competitor or themselves while working for their client and for a period after the work terminates.
