A Pennsylvania independent contractor agreement outlines the terms and conditions of a temporary working arrangement between a client and a hired independent contractor. Unlike an employee, an independent contractor is responsible for their own taxes, workers’ and unemployment compensation, insurance, and permits; however, they benefit from taking on jobs as they see fit. The independent contractor agreement helps establish fair terms for both parties, including a detailed list of services, the contractor’s compensation, expenses, equipment, confidentiality, and other provisions. Once the parties agree to the terms, they will sign the agreement rendering it valid until the services are complete, or until the parties collectively decide to terminate the agreement.
