An Ohio independent contractor agreement is a document outlining the terms of a working relationship between an independent contractor and the individual who hired them (client). Since an independent contractor is not an employee of the client, certain conditions have to be met in order for this relationship to be established. This agreement covers all necessary terms and conditions for this legal arrangement as well as basic elements of a contract; services to be performed, compensation, licensing and permits, taxes, benefits and unemployment compensation (to be paid for by contractor), confidentiality, and the like.
