The Nebraska independent contractor agreement is a contract between a client and an independent contractor that establishes the terms of employment, as well as the amount of compensation that the contractor will receive once work has been completed. The agreement also defines the contractor’s independent status, which implies that they will be responsible for paying their own income tax and obtaining liability insurance. The client may also opt to include additional clauses that require the contractor to pay their own expenses, obtain insurance, and protect trade secrets. Once both parties have signed the agreement, it becomes legally binding.
