Montana independent contractor agreements are documents which are drafted in order to establish the terms of an agreement between a contractor and their client. The services that the contractor is paid to perform and how the client will compensate them must be relayed within the document. Furthermore, the contract states the necessary specifications that comply with the legal definition of an independent contractor. The contractor must have independent control over directing the project and pay their own income tax. The client can also choose to include a clause in the contract that requires the contractor to obtain insurance coverage.
