The Michigan independent contractor agreement is a contract which describes the terms by which a contractor has agreed to provide a service to a client in exchange for financial compensation. The document is enforceable by law once it has been signed and both parties must fulfill all agreed obligations relayed therein. The type of services that the contractor is expected to provide and the amount of money that they will be paid upon completion must also be supplied. The client may also include clauses that require the contractor to obtain insurance and cover their own expenses.

Laws – Michigan independent contractors are defined by the IRS 20 Factor Test.
