The Maryland independent contractor agreement is a contract that outlines the terms of engagement between a client and a contractor. The agreement must list the duties or services that the contractor is being hired to perform and how they will be compensated. Furthermore, the contract must have a starting date that the agreement becomes effective. Additional clauses may be included to prevent the divulsion of the client’s confidential information to competing businesses.
