The Georgia independent contractor agreement is a contract specifying the conditions of hire for an independent contractor. The hiring individual or company (referred to as the “client”) will draft the document before selecting a contractor to assist them in completing a particular task. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to review the terms detailed in the agreement and to ensure that they comply with the provisions. Outlined in the document will be the contractor’s compensation, duties, legal liabilities, as well as statements defining their independent status. If the contractor complies with the prescribed information, they shall sign the contract to create a binding agreement.
