The Connecticut independent contractor agreement is a document completed by an individual or company (known as the “client”) to specify the manner in which a contractor shall operate while under contract with the client. The hiring party is encouraged to draft and implement the agreement to affirm the contractor’s awareness of their expected salary, expenses, responsibilities, and other legal obligations. In the event of a dispute between the two parties, the agreement will serve as proof of the agreed-upon terms and conditions. Furthermore, the document confirms that the contractor is indeed operating independently and not as an employee.
