Employment agreements are contracts to employ an individual’s services between a company and an employee that outlines pay, benefits, and time-off on an annual basis. There are two (2) types of agreements, at-will and fixed term. In addition to pay, the agreement will usually also cover confidentiality and any non-compete policies the company may have. If both parties agree to the terms, the agreement should be signed with at least one (1) witness, and for executive positions, in the presence of a notary public.
